About Stone House
From a small, two-man team to $1 billion in assets under management1 — still a relationship-first firm.
Where We Started
Stone House Investment Management started with a simple idea: hardworking families deserve the same quality of financial guidance as anyone else — explained in plain language, without the jargon or the sales pitch.
In 2003, Bob Brown and Scott Stone opened Stone House’s doors in Montrose, PA. The goal wasn’t to build the biggest firm around — it was to give hard-working people who spend their careers on their feet, on the line, or in the classroom a financial partner who takes their goals as seriously as anyone else’s.

Crossing $1 Billion — What It Means for You
In August, 2026 Stone House crossed $1 billion in assets under management.¹ We’re not sharing that number to boast — we’re sharing it because of what it means for the families who trust us with their future.
It means greater stability to navigate whatever the markets do next. It means more resources to invest in the technology, planning tools, and cybersecurity that protect your plan. It means we can attract and keep experienced advisors and specialists, so the relationship you count on doesn’t change as we grow. And it means the kind of business continuity that lets us keep serving your family for the next generation, not just this one.
Planning For What’s Ahead
A financial plan doesn’t stop at retirement — it has to hold up for the years, and the people, that come after it. As life gets more complex, so do the questions: how an estate is organized, how a business or a legacy gets passed on, how taxes factor into decisions today and down the road. We keep those questions in view as part of your overall plan, even when the right next step means bringing in an outside professional.
That’s part of why we created LifeSTACK®3 Estate Organizer — a free guide that gives you a simple, fill-in place to keep the accounts, documents, and wishes your family would need to find if something happened to you. It’s not a substitute for a will or an attorney, but it’s the kind of thing most families never get around to until it’s too late. Ask your Stone House Advisor for a copy.
For clients who need hands-on tax or business planning support, our team works alongside Stone House TBMA4 ³ — our affiliated tax preparation and business accounting service sister company.

Independent. Fiduciary. Relationship-first.
Stone House remains an independent RIA — not a division of a bank, an insurance company, or a private equity firm. The same advisors you’ve come to know are the same people you’ll talk to tomorrow. Growth, to us, isn’t the goal — it’s what makes it possible to keep the goal the same: your family, taken care of, for as long as you need us.
